At present, the global logistics supply chain is still blocked seriously, and the tension of global shipping continues. In addition to the US west route, the freight volume of other routes is declining.
Because most of the containers are blocked in the ports in the west of the United States, the container logistics supply chain is blocked.
According to the latest data of container trade statistics (CTS), the global container shipping volume decreased by 3% in September. This is the lowest monthly freight volume since February this year, with a year-on-year increase of less than 1%.
In the United States, the import demand of consumers is driving the growth of global container goods. However, due to the decline in exports from Asia, the global volume of goods decreased.
Among the many routes, the only one with growth is the route from Asia to North America, which had a traffic volume of about 2.2 million TEUs in September. The route from Asia to Europe has only 1.4 million TEUs.
The freight rates of all routes remain high
South American route: the epidemic situation in South America is still in a tense situation, mainly because the epidemic has not been effectively improved. Medical demand drives transportation demand at a high level.
Persian Gulf route: the epidemic situation is generally stable and the transportation market remains stable.
North American route: Recently, the transportation demand in the United States has remained high. The US West Route rose slightly, while the US east route fell slightly.
Freight forwarders afraid to accept orders
For the recent shipping market, many freight forwarders say that prices and information are changing every day, so they dare not do business.
Taking Mason as an example, starting from Ningbo port and Shanghai port, affected by power rationing, the price fell from 44000 US dollars / cabinet to 17000 US dollars / cabinet in October.
However, by the end of October, the price had returned to $50000 / cabinet.
In the past year or so, we have experienced ship blocking in Suez Canal, Los Angeles port / Long Beach port and Yantian port. This makes the sea freight constantly refresh the peak, and most routes have increased by 3-6 times.
