GLA Global Logistics Alliance is proud to participate in the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing, China, aimed at exploring new trade and logistics opportunities between China and Africa and furthering the cooperative interactions and solidarity between the two regions. The President of GLA Global Logistics Alliance, Ms. Grace Sun has been invited as a VIP guest, engaging in high-level discussions on enhancing trade networks, sustainable logistics, and strengthening China-Africa relations.
China's President Xi Jinping opened the summit on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, bringing together leaders from 54 African countries to set the stage for China-Africa relations up to 2027. Key discussions included deepening Belt and Road collaborations, promoting digital transformation, and fostering economic growth through strategic infrastructure projects. The summit emphasizes China's commitment to supporting Africa's technological and economic ambitions, particularly focusing on harnessing the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The theme of the conference, "Joining Hands to Promote Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community of Destiny," underscores the collaborative vision for a future where China and Africa work closely to achieve mutual development goals. The forum will conclude with negotiations over cooperation documents that will guide the next phase of China-Africa relations.
Upon receiving the invitation to the forum, the President of GLA Global Logistics Alliance Ms. Grace Sun expressed: "We are honored to attend FOCAC and engage in discussions that align with our mission of accelerating the development of China-Africa relations. GLA also hosted GLA Africa Regional Forum 2024 in Kenya on 26th August 2024, which was a resounding success, with over 200 participants and more than 2,000 B2B meetings. Reflecting on her experience, Ms. Grace stated, "My ten days in Nairobi were incredibly fulfilling. I attended the Sustainable Development Forum at the UN headquarters, connected with professionals, and immersed myself in the continent's vibrant culture and natural beauty. Africa's youthful population, innovative spirit, and expanding markets present unprecedented opportunities for global growth."
