Strategic Visit to Xinjiang: The Silk Road's Gateway to Eurasian Connectivity

Xinjiang, located in western China, is strategically positioned at the heart of the Eurasian continent, sharing borders with eight countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Russia, and Mongolia. Its unique geographical advantage makes Xinjiang a crucial node in the Silk Road Economic Belt, serving as a vital bridge for modern logistics and cultural exchange.

Ms. Grace Sun highlighted the significance of Xinjiang, stating, "Xinjiang is an important gateway connecting China and Central Asia, rich in natural resources and unique cultural heritage. Through this trip to Xinjiang, we aim to strengthen cooperation with neighboring countries, achieve interconnectedness, and jointly promote regional prosperity."

Forging New Partnerships

President of GLA, Ms. Grace Sun, engaged in high-level discussions with local logistics industry leaders during her visit. She met with Wu Bolang, Deputy Commander of the Shenzhen Forward Command and Deputy Secretary-General of the Kashgar Regional Administrative Office; Ma Xiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Kashgar Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor (Assistance to Xinjiang); and Xie Haisheng, Commander-in-Chief of the Shenzhen Forward Command for Supporting Xinjiang. The discussions focused on deepening cooperation and identifying new areas for collaboration, particularly in enhancing logistics channels and streamlining cross-border trade. These partnerships are expected to lead to significant advancements in logistics infrastructure, benefiting not only Pakistan but the entire region.
