GLA Global Logistics Alliance Attends Pakistan-China Business Conference to Enhance Bilateral Logistics Cooperation

President of GLA Global Logistics Alliance & Global Logistics Enterprise Federation, Ms. Grace Sun, along with Team GLA, proudly attended the Pakistan-China Business Conference 2024 to foster bilateral cooperation between both nations, specifically in the logistics sector. The conference saw representatives from 79 Pakistani companies engaging with their Chinese counterparts, aiming to strengthen the strategic cooperative partnership and build a shared future. Pakistan's Federal Minister of Commerce, H.E. Jam Kamal Khan, and Pakistan's Federal Minister of Privatisation, Communication & Board of Investment, H.E. Abdul Aleem Khan, welcomed Ms. Grace Sun and held a one-on-one business meeting to discuss unprecedented opportunities for bilateral logistics cooperation.

Prime Minister of Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif attended the Pakistan-China Business Conference, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan-China relations. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Shenzhen on Tuesday, June 4th 2024, commencing a five-day visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang of the state council. H.E. Prime Minister of Pakistan was warmly received by the Vice Mayor of Shenzhen City of China H.E. Luo Huanghao, the Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan H.E. Jiang Zaidong, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Beijing H.E. Khalil Hashmi, and senior diplomatic officials. This visit is expected to inaugurate the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and witness the signing of several agreements between the two countries.


Through the visit, he said, Pakistan hoped to promote interaction between enterprises in both countries, utilize Special Economic Zones and Pakistan’s labor advantages to establish joint ventures, facilitate the transfer of industries and technologies, and enhance Pakistan’s manufacturing output, to promote constructing upgraded China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister's attendance at the conference aligns with his vision to support, promote, and lead collaboration between the businessmen of both countries. A delegation of leading Pakistani businesspersons also attended the conference to collaborate with their influential Chinese counterparts to exchange information, share experiences, and promote cooperation in areas such as information infrastructure, modern agriculture, port logistics, medical equipment, and mineral resources, focusing on building the “One Belt and One Road” initiative and constructing special economic zones.


Pakistan and China have enjoyed a robust friendship spanning 73 years, characterized by unparalleled strategic mutual trust, deep camaraderie, and unwavering solidarity. This unique relationship is built on strong people-to-people connections and shared values, making Pakistan and China not only good neighbors but also steadfast nations who understand, trust, and support each other. As a standout entity in the logistics sector, GLA values this partnership and has very good communication with several members from Pakistan to facilitate regional cooperation between China and Pakistan.
