Successful China-Cambodia Business Forum Marks Global Interoperability and Long-Term Development in 'One Belt, One Road' Initiative

Shenzhen, China – October 22, 2023 – The Global Federation of Logistics Enterprises and GLA Global Logistics Alliance Network, ushered in a new era of international business cooperation with the successful staging of the Belt and Road New Chapter China-Cambodia Business Cooperation Forum. The prestigious event took place at the lavish Luohu Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen, signifying a pivotal moment in global business relations.

A distinguished gathering of global business and government leaders, including Ms Grace Sun, President of GLA Global Logistics Alliance Network, His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia(CDC), Zhou Changhu(周长瑚), Counselor of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and former Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen CPPCC, State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia and Development of Cambodia Committee Advisor SUONG Heng, Chairman and CEO of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port of Cambodia LOU Kim Chhun, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia and Advisor to the Development Council of Cambodia GUI Anvanith, Deputy Secretary-General of the Cambodian Investment Board SUON Sophal, along with SOURN Phearith, Huy Bunchhay, BORATH Muniroath, Wang Liqiang(王利强) President of Shenzhen Logistics Industry Association, Wu Xuewen(吴学文) President of Zhongshan Freight Forwarders Association, Zhang Wei(张桅) President of Kapitan Club, Zhang Jing(张晶) General Manager of Contract Operations Department of CCCC (Shenzhen) Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., and numerous enterprise representatives, gathered for the Belt and Road New Chapter China-Cambodia Business Cooperation Forum.


The event provided a platform for in-depth exchanges between these distinguished guests and over 150 business representatives, marking a pivotal moment in the development of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative and the strengthening of China-Cambodia business cooperation.

Ms. Grace Sun, President of GLA Global Logistics Alliance, extended a heartfelt welcome to His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, the distinguished Cambodian delegation, and all the attendees at the forum. In her opening remarks, Ms. Grace Sun highlighted the significance of this year, which marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia – a testament to the enduring friendship shared between the two nations.


Ms. Grace Sun emphasized that Initiatives like the "Belt and Road," the development of ports, and the improvement of transportation networks have all been witnesses to the profound collaboration between China and Cambodia. She underscored the potential for Chinese and Cambodian enterprises to deepen their cooperation and create a prosperous future for both nations through meaningful exchanges at this forum.

"One Belt, One Road" is a great global initiative. Mr. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and First Vice Chairman of the Development Council of Cambodia said in his keynote speech that Cambodia sincerely admires China’s leading role in it, and In the future, these two countries plan to work together more on the digital economy, green development, cross-border logistics, and improve connections in the region, all to boost their economies.

Zhou Changhu, counselor of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and former vice-chairman of the Shenzhen CPPCC, said in his welcome speech that over the past decade, the "Belt and Road" initiative has provided many developing countries, including Cambodia, with many favorable conditions, such as infrastructure development, foreign direct increased investment, economic growth, regional and global integration, and people-to-people exchanges.

During the forum, GLA Development Department Director, Mr. Malik, showcased the key highlights of the 7th GLA Global Logistics Conference held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2019. Also, Mr. Malik announced that the 9th GLA Global Logistics Conference is scheduled for November 16-18, 2023, at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center in China. It will feature 300+ professional booths and 2,000+ visitors from 130+ countries and more than 50,000 times one-on-one meeting.
