The massive accumulation of containers has become a major problem for American ports. According to McCown's data, the import volume of the top ten ports in the United States in June increased by 5.9% year-on-year, reaching 2.165 million TEUs.

At present, there is no obvious sign of easing the congestion in the ports of the United States, and the congestion has shifted eastward.

According to the ship position data of maritime traffic and the latest ship queuing list. As of the morning of August 10, 140 container ships had been waiting for berthing near North American ports.
