HISTORIC MILESTONE: NLC LAUNCHES A NEW CHINA–PAKISTAN–IRAN TRANSIT CORRIDOR UNDER TIR
National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has initiated a new multimodal transit corridor connecting Shenzhen, China, with Pakistan and Iran, via NLC’s logistics hub in Kashgar. The new route is designed to facilitate temperature-controlled cargo movements and strengthen regional trade connectivity.
The Strategic Route
Shenzhen, China → NLC Hub, Kashgar → Tashgurgan → Sost → Khunjerab Pass → Karachi, Pakistan
An alternative onward connection links Pakistan’s Gabd border crossing with Rimdan, Iran, extending the corridor toward Iranian markets and beyond.
Temperature-Controlled Logistics | ? Cross-Border Connectivity | ? TIR Transit
Cargo will move under the TIR international customs transit system, supporting secure cross-border transportation and streamlined transit procedures, subject to applicable customs and regulatory requirements.
This initiative represents a potential historic milestone in regional transit connectivity, linking China, Pakistan and Iran through an integrated road logistics network. It creates new opportunities for temperature-sensitive shipments, regional supply chains and international trade.
By connecting Chinese cargo origins with Central Asian logistics infrastructure, Pakistan’s northern land corridor and the Gabd–Rimdan crossing, NLC is working to expand multimodal connectivity and facilitate more efficient regional cargo movement.
